Medication abortion also called the abortion pill, can be taken up to 70 days (10 weeks pregnant).2 On average, the cost of the abortion pill in clinic ranges from $300 to $700 in the United States.
The FDA approved "abortion pill" generally refers to a medical abortion method that involves taking two different medications to terminate an early pregnancy. The first medication blocks the hormone progesterone, which is necessary for pregnancy to continue. Without progesterone, the lining of the uterus breaks down, and the pregnancy cannot continue. The second medication is taken 24 to 48 hours later. It causes the uterus to contract and expel the pregnancy.

💊 What is Abortion Pill Reversal?
Abortion pill reversal involves taking a high dose of progesterone after mifepristone to counteract its effects. Progesterone is a hormone that supports pregnancy, and this treatment aims to restore its levels to potentially help sustain your pregnancy.
⏰ Timing is Crucial
The sooner you seek help, the better. For the best chance of success, the reversal treatment should be started as soon as possible after taking mifepristone—ideally within 24 hours. For confidential help, call 877-558-0333.

Is it safe and effective?
A National Institute of Health (NIH), study highlights an observational case series of 754 patients who attempted to reverse the effects of mifepristone by taking supplemental progesterone. The findings suggest that certain progesterone regimens, such as intramuscular and high-dose oral progesterone, were associated with reversal rates of 64% and 68%, respectively. Additionally, the study concluded that there was no apparent increased risk of birth defects, leading to the conclusion that the reversal process is both safe and effective. –
